<description>I am amazed how polite the club members are. Can you believe they have held back their comments on this event for over 2 weeks just so I could be the first to comment? Thank you so much!

I really liked the concept of the face off; the cheeses from Patty’s were outstanding.

Although I was able to determine the country of origin for all the reds by the nose, I did not find one that called to me to buy it based on flavour. I thought within a selection of 6 wines there would have been one I would want to buy. Could it have been the glasses that altered the flavours? Did any one else have these experiences? Oh well tasting wines not to buy takes more sips than ones to buy.

The opening wine “Ribbon Vale” was great. I found it very drinkable even at room temperature. I will be buying this one.

Thanks to Rhonda and Dave for organizing the even. Thanks to Spike for selecting, gathering and pouring all the wines. Thanks to Shirley, Marcia and other members for delivering the wines and cheeses to the tables. Did the hotel staff share their gratuity with you? What did we really get from the Union Bank Inn for $43.38 per person? Let’s get some discussion going on this issue.
