2003 Glaetzer “Wallace”
Retail price $26.99, 14.5% alchohol
Wallace is a 70% Shiraz – 30% Grenache blend made from fruit sourced from the famed Ebenezer vineyard in the Barossa Valley. The ripe and peppery old vine Shiraz provides weight, texture and a fleshy richness to the wine. The Grenache contributes sweet cherry, toffee and earthy
characteristics. The wine is delightful now but will reward cellaring for up to a decade.

Retail Price: $29.99
Blend of 60% Shiraz, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon & 20% Merlot from Barossa Valley fruit. Winemaker Bruno Tait strives to make big, thick, juicy and extracted reds. Initially he was going to name the wine after his wife, “Michelle’s Block” but thought it would evoke an image of a wine that is soft and elegant. So he named it The Ball Buster instead! Not surprisingly, this wine is purchased by many of our lady customers looking for that very special gift.

2002 De Bortoli Petit Verdot
Saturday, October 15th, 2005What a coincidence – the St. Albert Weinguts had a tasting on October 14 and we also had the 2002 Vat 4 Peitite Verdot by De Bortoli. We rated it an 86 and was the best wine of the evening. You got a better deal on it as we paid $16.94 + GST.
